Rabies quarantine introduced in Tyumen region

A rabies quarantine has been introduced in Yalutorovsk (Tyumen region). The corresponding decree was signed by the regional government.

Restrictive measures have been in effect in part of the city since January 21. According to the <url> news agency, it is forbidden to hold fairs and exhibitions on the territory with the participation of animals susceptible to the virus. Trapping of wild animals is also prohibited.

Quarantine is also in effect in the Uporovsky, Kazan and Isetsky districts.

In early January, rabies quarantine was introduced in four settlements of the Samara region. The restrictions apply for at least 60 days from the date of destruction of the last sick animal.
