Representatives of the United States are considering possible areas of joint work with Russia that can be implemented after the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. This was announced by Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.
"American representatives are already making certain plans [for joint projects with Russia] that could be implemented after the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict," Yuri Ushakov told reporters.
According to the Kremlin's website, the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Special representative of the President of the United States Steve Witkoff began at 23:25 Moscow time and ended at 3:04. Thus, the negotiations lasted 3 hours and 39 minutes.
On the Russian side, Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov and Special Presidential Representative for Investment and Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries Kirill Dmitriev also participated in the negotiations. On the U.S. side, the meeting was attended by Jared Kushner, founder of Affinity Partners, and Josh Gruenbaum, Senior White House Adviser and Commissioner of the Federal Procurement Service of the U.S. Office of General Services.
Earlier, on January 22, it was reported that the meeting took place in the Presidential Executive Office in the Kremlin's Senate Palace. On the same day, it became known that special envoy of the President of the United States Stephen Witkoff and Jared Kushner arrived in Moscow for talks with Vladimir Putin.
Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow highly appreciated Washington's efforts in the negotiation process on Ukraine, as well as the results achieved.
