A case of the abduction of a teenager was opened in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

The Prosecutor's Office of the Krasnoyarsk Territory is checking and supervising the investigation of the criminal case of the abduction of a 14-year-old teenager from the cottage village of Serebryany Bor. This was reported on January 23 in the press service of the regional prosecutor's office.

"Currently, the operational services and the investigative body are checking the version that the teenager is acting under the influence of fraudsters," the report says.

According to preliminary information, on the evening of January 22, the schoolboy's father, returning home, did not find his son, and 3 million rubles were stolen from the house. Later, the father received a video asking the boy to fulfill the demands of the kidnappers, who demanded a ransom 10 times the amount stolen.

A criminal case has been opened into the incident on the grounds of a crime under paragraphs "a", "d", and "h" of Part 2 of Article 126 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Abduction of a known minor by a group of persons for mercenary motives").
