In Primorye, a truck driver was arrested after an accident with a bus
A 38-year-old truck driver was arrested in the Khasansky district of Primorsky Krai after an accident with a bus. This was announced on January 23 by the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.
"The truck driver, whose driving experience is six years, was detained in accordance with Article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation ["Grounds for detention of a suspect"]," the department's Telegram channel said.
It is noted that a criminal case was initiated on the grounds of a crime under Part 5 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles, resulting in the death of two or more persons by negligence").
Two people were injured in an accident involving a passenger car and a city bus in Nakhodka, Primorsky Krai, on January 16. According to PriamurMedia news agency, referring to photos from the scene, the Korean sedan was literally torn apart by the impact.
On January 22, the press service of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region reported that the Investigative Committee of the Primorsky Territory had opened a criminal case on the provision of unsafe services following an accident with a bus in which three people died.
On the same day, it was reported that the number of injured in a bus accident in Primorye increased to nine people.
