The cost of the borscht set decreased by 19% over the year. This became known from statistical data on January 23.
The average price of vegetables for borscht was 205 rubles, according to the RIA Novosti news agency.
Cabbage became the cheapest vegetable — its price fell by 27.6% and amounted to 34.4 rubles per kg. Potatoes also fell by 21.6%. Its cost now stands at 43.4 rubles.
