Specialists of the municipal economy complex are raising the temperature in the heating system due to the expected sharp cooling. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services (Housing and Communal services) and landscaping Peter Biryukov on Thursday, January 22.

"According to the forecast of weather forecasters, a sharp cold snap is expected in the coming days, and in this regard, we have started changing the parameters of the heat supply system in advance. <...> Currently, we are gradually increasing the temperature of the coolant," the Moscow City News agency quoted the official as saying.

The deputy mayor recalled that the technological modes of the district heating system are chosen in accordance with the temperature of the outside air, writes "Moscow 24". This is done in advance, based on the short-term weather forecast.

"A rapid increase and decrease in the temperature of the coolant is impossible due to the natural inertia of the heat supply system. <...> Regulation of heat release is provided by two main parameters: by lowering or increasing the temperature of the coolant and increasing or reducing its volume," Biryukov said.
