Forecasters predicted frost over the weekend in Moscow

On the weekend of January 24 and 25, Muscovites expect frosty weather. It will be cloudy on both days. Yandex Weather analysts told Izvestia about this on January 23.

Frosty and cloudy weather is expected during the day on Saturday, January 24. The wind is north-easterly, with gusts up to 1 m/s. In the morning, the temperature will be -18 degrees, in the afternoon it will rise to -16 degrees, in the evening it will return to -18 degrees and at night it will drop to -20 degrees.

Experts attribute the trend to heavy snowfall in most regions of the country.

"In the cities of the Moscow region, such as Odintsovo, Podolsk, Lyubertsy, Vidnoye and Domodedovo, daytime temperatures will be close to Moscow, about -18 degrees, and weather conditions will remain similar to those in the capital," the forecasters added.

Sunday, January 25, will also be cloudy and frosty. The wind is easterly and southeasterly, with gusts up to 2 m/s. In the morning, the temperature will be -21 degrees, in the afternoon it will rise to -17 degrees, in the evening it will be -19 degrees and at night it will drop to -20 degrees. In the Moscow region, the temperature background is expected to be at the Moscow level, in some places one or two degrees lower.

Earlier, forecasters predicted the most severe frosts for this week in Moscow on the night of January 25. In the Moscow region, the temperature will drop to -27 degrees in some places.
