Nutritionist Sofia Kovanova told how much bread you can eat without harm to your health.

In conversation with aif.ru On Thursday, January 22, she noted that no more than a few slices of bread can be consumed per day, so as not to harm the figure and the body.

She explained that the acceptable amount of bread in the diet depends on the goal. According to her, when losing weight, it is recommended to limit yourself to one slice a day or every other day, giving preference to whole grain or rye bread. When gaining muscle mass, on the contrary, you can include two to four slices per day in the diet to increase its energy value.

The expert also noted that it is acceptable for athletes to consume small portions of white or toasted bread before training, as it provides the body with the necessary calories faster.
