The first political crypto forum of the Liberal Democratic Party has started working in Moscow. Deputies, officials, security forces and major market players gathered at the event. The main task is to build a dialogue between the government and new businesses, to develop transparent rules of the game.

"According to foreign analysts, Russia currently ranks first among European countries in terms of turnover. Our well—known marketplaces all use cryptocurrency as an indicative or as a means of exchange anyway," said Philip Chistov, marketing director of the crypto exchange.

Previously, gold was searched for in rivers, but now it is being "washed up" with the help of powerful technologies that work around the clock in ordinary apartments, garages or even in vans. This process is called mining: special equipment solves complex tasks, and its owner receives a cryptocurrency as a reward.

"Right now, a huge number of schoolchildren are making a lot of money in the cryptocurrency market. They will definitely not take exams for qualified investors or others," said Sergey Mendeleev, CEO of the crypto exchange.

The Russian cryptocurrency market remains a gray and sometimes downright black zone, where closed chats, dubious exchangers are common and there is a high risk of encountering fraudulent intermediaries.

As Evgeny Shevlyakov, head of the risk assessment department of Rosfinmonitoring, noted, crypto assets carry the risks of being used to finance drug trafficking, they can be an element of corruption schemes, including for financing terrorism and extremist activities.

That is why it is necessary to restore order in the industry as soon as possible, — the first LDPR crypto forum in the country gathered industry leaders. The party is confident that the crypt is serious and for a long time, and they are even ready to offer amnesty.

"There should be a mining amnesty. You lose in the small, you win in the big. We will announce an amnesty and achieve a large-scale whitewashing of the cryptocurrency markets in the country. We should not catch up, but be ahead in everything, and the crypto industry should be no exception," said LDPR leader Leonid Slutsky.

Liberal Democrats have been systematically dealing with issues of regulating the cryptosphere for a long time. In 2024, they managed to achieve the adoption of a law that officially legalized miners as a separate class — more than 1.3 thousand crypto miners have already been entered into the official register.

"Do you want to do something with cryptocurrency? Register in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Thailand, anywhere but in Russia," said Anti—Danilevsky, the founder of the crypto exchange.

In addition, in the context of the sanctions war, cryptocurrency is becoming a financial weapon. The LDPR proposes to issue a domestic crypt backed by real assets.

On January 22, Slutsky proposed introducing an amnesty for previously imported mining equipment. According to him, this measure will expand the legalization of the crypto industry and will not allow miners to remain in the shadows, fearing responsibility for using equipment that has not yet been entered into the relevant registers of the Federal Tax Service.
