The teacher gave advice on preparing for the final interview in Russian
On February 11, ninth grade students will have to pass a mandatory final interview in Russian, which is admission to the main state exam. To be successful, you must score at least 10 points out of a possible 20. Teacher, head of regional teaching at the educational company MAXIMUM Victoria Podsukhina, in an interview with Izvestia on January 23, shared recommendations for preparing for each of the stages.
"The test structure includes four tasks: reading the text aloud, retelling it with quotes, a monologue on one of the three proposed topics, and a dialogue with the examiner. The expert named exclusively oral practice as the key principle of training. Reading the text to oneself is not enough, because intonation, tempo and compliance with speech norms are evaluated," she clarified.
Podsukhina advises practicing reading aloud by recording yourself on a dictaphone for subsequent analysis, which allows you to identify and correct problems with diction and expressiveness. Special attention should be paid to numerals and words with complex accents, using the current orthoepical dictionary of the Federal Institute of Pedagogical Measurements for training.
When retelling, it is important to remain calm and not try to reproduce the text verbatim. It is more effective to convey the main content in your own words, following the logic and coherence of speech, avoiding repetitions and grammatical errors. For a successful monologue, it is worth choosing the most understandable format — description, narration or reasoning — and thinking in advance about a simple plan with key points in your mind, as well as preparing introductory and concluding phrases that will help you cope with the excitement.
"The dialogue with the examiner is based around the topic of the monologue. To answer questions confidently, you can use speech formulas that give you time to think, for example: "This is an interesting question...". The teacher considers regular practice with a partner to be an ideal preparation for this part of the interview: mutual questions and analysis of answers, including through voice messages, develop the skill of spontaneous, literate and logical speech, which is the key to success on the test," the teacher concluded.
Earlier, on January 16, it was reported that the Public Chamber proposed to introduce a unified state exam for university and college students. The initiative provides for testing in compulsory subjects to assess the basic level of training and strengthen control over the quality of education.
