Bild reported the detention of three people while trying to damage Merz's plane.
German police have detained three people in a hangar housing German Chancellor Friedrich Merz's private jet. The Bild newspaper wrote about this on January 22.
Two women aged 23 and 28, as well as one man aged 56, were detained. It is noted that all of them are German citizens and, presumably, are associated with climate activists.
The newspaper writes that the detainees were going to paint Merz's plane pink. The local prosecutor's office said that all the violators had been released, as the police had no reason to detain them further.
The violators are being investigated for illegal entry into private property and attempted damage to property.
Activists of the Extinction Rebellion environmental movement held a rally in Venice last November, pouring a coloring agent into the Grand Canal, as a result of which the water turned a bright green color. On the Rialto Bridge, she and other activists poured paint into the canal in an attempt to draw attention to environmental issues.
