Avtodor may raise tariffs on toll roads in 2026
Avtodor is considering the possibility of increasing fares on its toll roads in 2026. This was announced on January 22 by the head of the state-owned company Vyacheslav Petushenko.
According to him, this issue will be studied, among other things, for reasons of inflation and rising costs of maintaining roads. However, an excessive increase in the tariff may lead to a decrease in traffic, so the decision on indexing will be made carefully, TASS quoted Petushenko as saying.
The head of Avtodor noted that by the end of 2025, the toll collection amounted to 140 billion rubles. The share of the M-4 Don highway in revenue generation decreased to 47% due to increased traffic on the M-11, M-12 and the Central Ring Road.
The number of passes through Avtodor's toll highway network in 2025 amounted to 397 million, which is higher than in 2024, when 379 million passes were recorded.
The last time Avtodor indexed tariffs was in February 2025. At that time, the state-owned company stated that, on average, the cost of one kilometer traveled had increased within the limits of inflation. Thus, the fare from Moscow to Krasnodar on the M-4 "Don" for the first category of vehicles from Monday to Thursday increased by 360 rubles (up to 4610 rubles), on the M-11 "Neva" from Solnechnogorsk to St. Petersburg - by 320 rubles (up to 3550 rubles), and from Moscow to the first exit to Kazan on the M-12 "Vostok" — for 344 rubles (up to 4825 rubles).
Earlier, on January 20, it was reported that by the end of 2025, Avtodor, together with the regional divisions of the traffic police and Rostransnadzor, identified about 1.3 thousand administrative violations. About 200 raids were carried out on expressways to identify hidden numbers.
