SPIEF 2026 will strengthen support for small and medium-sized businesses in the context of tax reforms

In response to the instruction of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to ensure a comfortable transition of small and medium-sized enterprises to new tax systems, special conditions for participation for SMEs remain in place at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in 2026.

As Putin noted, it is necessary "to avoid an excessive increase in the burden on entrepreneurs, an increase in accounting costs," especially for enterprises combining the production and sale of their own products. The President instructed the Government to develop measures to protect the interests of the SME manufacturing sector and provide additional support to it.

SPIEF 2026, which will be held on June 3-6 in St. Petersburg, will be a key platform for discussing these initiatives. Participants will be able to interact directly with representatives of relevant ministries, development institutions, and business associations, including OPORA RUSSIA.

"We are aware of the special vulnerability of small businesses in the context of administrative and tax changes. It is critically important for us that venues such as the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum maintain accessible conditions for participation and ensure a direct dialogue with the authorities. Our task is not just to convey the needs of entrepreneurs, but to help transform them into concrete solutions," said Alexander Kalinin, President of the All–Russian Public Organization of Small and Medium–sized Enterprises OPORA ROSSII.

Preferential conditions have been preserved for representatives of small and medium—sized businesses, including international participants: access to all events of the opening day of the Forum on June 3, including the Russian Forum of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses and the Russian Pharmaceutical Forum "Drug Safety", with the exception of closed events.
