JAC has announced a new JS9 SUV for Russia
JAC company plans to launch a new JS9 SUV on the Russian market in the II–III quarter of 2026. The Russian representative office of the Chinese brand announced this at a press conference in Moscow, the correspondent of Izvestia reported on January 22.
Details about the model are not specified yet. JAC noted that it was developed specifically for the Russian market. The company also shared that they are exploring the prospects of launching sales of another new product this year.
Two JAC models are currently localized in Russia — the T9 pickup truck and the RF8 minivan, which premiered in December.
"The company intends to strengthen its leadership in the focus segments of pickups and minivans, and one of the main tasks remains the development of local production aimed at fully adapting products to specific Russian conditions and end—user needs," JAC noted.
By the end of last year, JAC took the leading position in the pickup truck segment with a market share of 22.6%. During the year, 4,964 pickups of the brand were sold: an increase of 22.8% compared to 2024, despite an overall drop in sales in the segment of 24.6%.
Earlier, on January 12, it was reported that JAC launched sales of a new modification of the T9 pickup truck in Russia, which is focused on increased comfort. The cost of the model in the Urban version will be 3.69 million rubles.
