A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Units of the North group of forces improved their tactical position and defeated formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in a number of settlements in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions. The enemy lost up to 140 people, two armored combat vehicles, 15 vehicles, a US-made MLRS multiple rocket launcher and two 155-mm Bogdana self-propelled artillery units. Three warehouses of material assets were destroyed.

The military personnel of the Zapad group of forces occupied more advantageous lines and positions, and also hit the manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a number of settlements of the Kharkiv region and the DPR. The enemy's losses amounted to up to 200 soldiers, five armored combat vehicles, including a US-made Stryker armored personnel carrier, 25 vehicles and three artillery pieces. Four ammunition depots were destroyed.

The southern group of troops has improved its position along the front line. The enemy was defeated in the areas of the DPR settlements. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost over 145 militants, a tank, an armored combat vehicle, seven vehicles and five field artillery pieces, including a 155-mm Paladin self-propelled artillery system manufactured by the United States. Three electronic warfare stations, two ammunition and materiel depots were destroyed.

The Center group of troops has taken more advantageous positions and frontiers. The military defeated Ukrainian formations in a number of settlements of the DPR and the Dnipropetrovsk region. The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to over 445 soldiers, two tanks, two armored combat vehicles, 10 vehicles, three artillery pieces and an electronic warfare station.

The units of the Vostok group of forces continue to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses, and have also defeated Ukrainian formations in the areas of the Zaporizhia and Dnipro regions. The enemy lost up to 250 people, two armored personnel carriers, four armored fighting vehicles, seven vehicles, two field artillery guns and the installation of a multiple rocket launcher "Grad".

The military personnel of the Dnepr group of forces defeated the formations of the mountain assault brigade and the coastal defense brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Magdalinovka and Novoyakovlevka of the Zaporizhia region. More than 60 Ukrainian militants, five vehicles, two electronic warfare stations, the Kupol-M1 radar station and a warehouse of materiel were destroyed.

Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated energy infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ammunition storage depots, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 142 areas.

Nine guided aerial bombs, four US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and 224 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 670 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 110,748 unmanned aerial vehicles, 646 anti-aircraft missile systems, 27,267 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,650 multiple rocket launchers, 32,755 field artillery guns and mortars, 52531 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
