On January 22, US President Donald Trump was depicted riding a polar bear on the new cover of the British magazine The Economist. The illustration accompanies the material devoted to the discussion of the situation around Greenland.

"The Greenland crisis is a lesson for all countries. America's friends must prepare for a world in which they will be left alone, and NATO will no longer exist," the publication commented on the publication of the cover on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

On January 21, the US President made a statement that a very productive meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte had formed the basis for a future agreement on Greenland and, in fact, the entire Arctic region. Trump noted that those responsible for the negotiations will report directly to the American leader himself.

On the same day, Greenland's Minister of Fisheries, Hunting and Agriculture, Peter Borg, urged residents to stock up on food for five days.
