One person was killed and one injured in an accident on the Amur highway

In the Magdagachinsky district of the Amur region, as a result of a collision between a foreign car and a GAZ Sobol, one person was killed and one injured. This is reported by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.

The accident occurred on Thursday, January 22, on the 1053rd km of the federal highway R-297 Amur. Hyundai K5 and GAZ Sobol collided.

As a result of the accident, the 27-year-old passenger car driver suffered various injuries, from which he died on the spot. The GAZ driver was hospitalized.

According to PriamurMedia news agency, referring to photos from the scene, the Korean sedan was literally torn apart by the impact.

The circumstances and causes of the fatal accident are being determined by police officers.

Earlier in the day, a tourist bus traveling from China and a truck collided on the highway in Primorsky Krai. According to preliminary data, two people were killed in the accident — the bus driver and a female passenger.
