In Angarsk, a fire broke out in an apartment on the second floor of a high-rise building, as a result of which a 78-year-old woman died. This was reported on January 22 in the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the MAX messenger.

"Fighters of the gas and smoke protection service unit rescued six people from a smoky entrance with the help of rescue devices. Another 10 evacuated on their own," the department said.

The fire engulfed about 3 square meters. m. The investigators found that the cause of the fire was carelessness while smoking.

Earlier, on January 8, it was reported about a fire in Vladivostok, where rescuers brought 42 people, including four children, out of smoke-filled entrances. The total area of the fire was about 60 square meters, one person was injured.
