Bill and Hillary Clinton will be prosecuted as part of the investigation into the case of Jeffrey Epstein, an American financier accused of molesting minors. This is due to disrespect for Congress and failure to appear for questioning after receiving subpoenas. This was announced on January 21 by the Axios portal.

"Contempt of court, a rarely used instrument of control in Congress, carries a maximum penalty of up to one year in prison and a fine of up to $100,000," the publication says.

It is noted that the House of Representatives Committee on Oversight and Accountability voted to hold the Clinton spouses accountable for disrespect and failure to appear for questioning after issuing subpoenas.

A committee of the House of Representatives of the US Congress has set the dates for Bill and Hillary Clinton to testify in the case of financier Jeffrey Epstein on January 13 and 14, respectively. Comer noted that the Clintons' lawyer had previously said that they could not appear for questioning this week, but declined to offer alternative dates.

Later it became known that the Clintons decided not to come to Congress to testify in the case of Epstein, accused of pedophilia.
