Senator Melnikova explained the procedure for obtaining free sanatorium vouchers
Disabled people, combat veterans and other privileged categories of citizens have the right to free sanatorium treatment, subject to a number of conditions. This was announced on January 22 by Senator Natalia Melnikova, former head of the Pskov Region department of the Social Fund.
According to her, free vouchers are provided to federal and regional beneficiaries.
"Free vouchers to sanatoriums are provided to privileged categories of citizens. The main categories are beneficiaries — participants of the Great Patriotic War, people with disabilities of all groups, children with disabilities, war veterans affected by radiation, as well as regional beneficiaries - pensioners, pre—retirees, donors," Melnikova explained to RIA Novosti.
The senator noted that federal beneficiaries can use the voucher only if they have not refused a set of social services in terms of sanatorium treatment. To receive a permit, you must issue a certificate in the form 070/u and submit an application to the Social Fund — through Public Services, MFC, by mail or at a personal appointment.
Melnikova also recalled that the duration of treatment is 18 days, and for disabled children - 21 days, while beneficiaries are provided with free travel to and from the place of treatment.
Earlier, on January 3, it was reported that analysts of the tourist market recommended choosing cities with developed infrastructure and a large number of rooms to save on trips, as well as considering sanatoriums as a more affordable alternative to suburban hotels. Experts noted that accommodation in sanatoriums without treatment can be cheaper by 15%, and traveling in low season can reduce the cost of accommodation and transportation.
