Freight train derailment caused train delays in Tula region
In the Tula region, due to the derailment of seven empty freight train cars on the Zhdanka - Tovarkovo section, long—distance trains No. 25 Moscow — Voronezh, No. 33 Moscow — Vladikavkaz, No. 58 Belgorod — Moscow and No. 62 Nalchik — Moscow are delayed. This was reported on January 22 in the Telegram channel of the Moscow Railway.
"No one was injured, there is no threat to the population. Currently, restoration work is continuing at the site, which involves 2 recovery trains," the railway's press service said.
The causes of the incident are being established, and an operational headquarters is working on the site to coordinate actions. Earlier, on January 21, it was reported that four empty cargo tanks of a train of 71 cars heading towards Yelets derailed on the Zhdanka — Tovarkovo section. The recovery train has already left for the accident site. The circumstances and causes of the incident are being clarified.
