Senior Sergeant Artyom Starchenko, during the task of evacuating the wounded from the line of contact, pulled eight comrades out from under enemy artillery fire. The press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the area of a special military operation on Thursday, January 22.

It is noted that in the area of the rescue operation, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) actively used both artillery and attack drones. Despite heavy fire from enemy forces, Starchenko evacuated eight Russian servicemen, who then received timely medical assistance.

The Ministry of Defense also said that Private Mikhail Chalov, in one of the tactical areas, took part in the task of capturing the stronghold. After reaching the designated target and breaking into the positions of the militants, he personally destroyed six opponents with small arms. Further, the fighter independently held the support post until the arrival of the main forces of the unit.
