A Russian was detained in Germany for supporting the DPR and LPR
Two people were detained in the German city of Brandenburg — a Russian citizen Suren A. and a German citizen Falko H. — on charges of supporting the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR), it was reported on January 21 on the website of the Prosecutor General of Germany.
At the same time, the investigative judge of the federal court issued arrest warrants for suspects on January 12.
"The arrests were carried out in the districts of Dahme Spreewald and Markisch-Oderland (Brandenburg) by employees of the Federal Criminal Police Department. Searches are being conducted in the premises of suspects in these areas," the publication says.
The German police found that since 2016, the detainees had been in high positions in an association that organized the delivery of food and medicine to Donbass, as well as drones for the DPR and LPR.
On November 25, 2025, 40-year-old Russian citizen Anna N. and 63-year-old Frenchman Vincent P.I., representatives of the SOS Donbass organization, which provides humanitarian support to residents of Donbass and Novorossiya, were also taken into custody in France. The investigation stated that both allegedly acted as recruited by the Russian special services under the guise of humanitarian activities. Representatives of the organization denied all charges. They could face up to 15 years in prison. The Russian Embassy has confirmed the fact of the Russian woman's detention.
