About 180,000 cubic meters of snow have been removed from regional roads in the Moscow Region since early January. This was announced on Wednesday, January 21, according to the press service of the regional Ministry of Transport.

The work was carried out as part of the aftermath of the cyclone. The snowfall that has hit the region has become one of the most powerful in 146 years. The height of the snow cover reached half a meter.

The volume of exported snow is about 12 thousand KAMAZ trucks. Most of the snow was removed in the east and south-east of the region, it is being stored in 40 districts.

The consequences of bad weather are eliminated around the clock. More than 1.2 thousand people are involved in clearing roads. About 400,000 tons of reagents have already been used.

Earlier it was reported that against the background of abnormally heavy snowfalls in Russia in the first two weeks of January, the demand for cleaning cars from snow increased sixfold. The number of offers increased 2.1 times.
