Ammunition detonated at a warehouse in the village of Tel Kodjer on the border of Syria with Iraq (al-Hasakah province), five people died as a result of a powerful explosion. This was reported by the ANF news agency on January 21.
It is noted that the tragedy occurred when a group of armed men tried to plunder a warehouse.
"According to preliminary data, five people were killed in the explosion, and several others were injured in various degrees of severity," the newspaper said.
The agency notes that the formations of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) left Tel Kojer the day before, after which an armed group of people entered the city and began looting weapons depots.
The Syrian government and the Kurdish militia signed a new agreement on an immediate ceasefire on January 18. The document includes specific military-territorial conditions. According to the agreements, the Kurdish forces should withdraw to the eastern bank of the Euphrates River as part of their redeployment plan.
