In Russia, it was proposed to introduce an additional fee for each attempt to take the exam to obtain a driver's license. Vladimir Korobchak, Deputy Chairman of the All-Russian Society of Motorists, made such an initiative at a round table held at the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation. This was reported by the Izvestia correspondent on January 21.

"We propose this idea: to pay a state fee not only for the issuance of a driver's license itself, but also for each attempt to take the driver's license exam. This will force graduates of driving schools to prepare better for exams," Korobchak said.

In his opinion, this measure will increase both the state's income and discipline candidates for drivers. According to the Deputy Chairman of the SAI, this proposal will be included in the list of recommendations sent to relevant ministries and departments following the meeting.

Currently, candidates for drivers pay only the state fee for issuing a driver's license, which is 4 thousand rubles.

Earlier, on January 19, a bill was submitted to the State Duma, which proposes to tighten administrative responsibility for installing external lighting devices and light sources on cars and operating them, including LED lamps when installed improperly, which blind and create other obstacles for drivers of oncoming and passing vehicles.
