The Ukrainian journalist allowed the removal of families of officials from Kiev
Ukrainian officials can start moving their families out of Kiev. This was announced on January 21 by Ukrainian journalist Anatoly Shariy.
"Dear residents of Kiev, please pay attention to your neighbors. If there are among them prosecutors, senior cabinet officials, employees of the office of the president <...> and so on. Take a close look to see if they are suddenly taking their families out this week," he urged in his Telegram channel.
Shariy also advised Kiev residents to try to organize the evacuation of those who cannot leave on their own.
In Ukraine, on January 13, they reported an almost complete blackout in Kiev. It was noted that all subgroups of residents at that time had no light either partially or completely.
On January 19, it was reported that Kiev was returning to medieval conditions due to the crisis in the communal sector. Residents complain about frozen food at fairs, high prices and the dilapidated state of public infrastructure, including ruptured pipes, flooded parking lots and non-functioning heating systems. Later, on January 20, Verkhovna Rada deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak accused Zelensky of being unable to cope with the critical situation in Kiev's energy sector.
