Sobyanin opened a new section of the Kommunar highway
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin opened a new section of the Kommunar Highway from the projected passage No. 812 to the Solntsevo — Butovo —Varshavskoye Highway (SBV). The highway will be a backup to the Kaluga highway with exits to the MKAD and SBV.
With the advent of a new section of road, transport services in the area, which is home to about 150,000 people, will improve, Sobyanin noted in the channel. Thus, the travel time from the MKAD to the Solntsevo — Butovo — Varshavskoye highway will be reduced from 30 to 10 minutes.
Also, thanks to the opening of the Kommunarskoye Highway section, the Kommunarka and Novomoskovskaya stations will become more accessible to metro passengers. The c999 bus route will be redirected to them.
During the construction of the site, specialists built and reconstructed 5 km of roads. "Including the main passage, the overpass through Alexandra Monakhova Street, side passages and the adjacent street and road network," wrote the mayor of the capital.
According to Sobyanin, the plans also include extending the road to the Voskresenskoye—Karakashevo—Shcherbinka highway until the end of 2028. As a result, the length of the highway's understudy will almost double to about 10 km.
The construction of one of the main road projects in recent years, the SBV, will be completed in 2026. As expected, the new road will connect five outbound highways and will be connected to the Moscow High-speed Diameter.
