The State Traffic Inspectorate reminded drivers that in winter they should be extremely careful when driving: avoid sudden rash maneuvers and lane changes on roads slippery with snow or ice, observe the interval and distance between vehicles, and do not exceed the set speed.
"Also, do not forget that in conditions of insufficient visibility, it is necessary to move with external lighting devices turned on, be sure to use fog lights, if available, and during precipitation, reduce speed as much as possible and move with the alarm lights on. If the weather worsens, temporarily refrain from using personal vehicles until more favorable weather conditions occur. At the same time, transfer to public transport in urban conditions," said Police Colonel Sergey Hrantskevich, head of the Department for Promoting Road Safety and preventing child traffic injuries at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
