On January 21, the FSB's Public Relations Center published footage of the detention of those involved in the preparation of the terrorist attack in Ufa.

According to the intelligence service, the attackers were collecting information about the Ufa police department they wanted to attack. During the exploration, they acquired automatic firearms, purchased components for the manufacture of an improvised explosive device (IED) and began assembling it.
