The WSJ reported on Denmark's absence from talks with Trump in Davos
US President Donald Trump will arrive in Davos for meetings with world leaders, but Denmark's participation in these negotiations is not yet envisaged. This was reported on January 20 by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), citing sources.
"Denmark will not participate in these meetings at the moment," the publication says.
It is noted that the meetings will focus on Greenland issues, as well as economic and national security. European countries continue to discuss the format of participation in the negotiations and possible steps to ensure the stability of the region.
Earlier, on January 20, it was reported that the United States and Denmark are able to reduce tensions around Greenland by updating the agreement on the protection of the island, signed in 1951. It is assumed that the updated agreements may provide additional conditions, including strict guarantees aimed at limiting or prohibiting Chinese investments in Greenland.
