The State Duma told about the changes in driving schools from March 1, 2026

The new rules for learning at driving schools will come into force on March 1, 2026, including a distance learning format for theory and an increase in the duration of driving instruction. Pavel Fedyaev, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Transport, told about this on January 21.

"For those who study for category "B", the number of practice hours will increase slightly. It will be possible to practice skills not only on training grounds, but also on the territories of car companies. It will become more convenient to study: for example, theory can be taught online," the TASS news agency quoted.

It is noted that changes in the course of first aid in case of an accident will be carried out, as well as rules for interaction with road users on electric scooters and other means of individual mobility and the use of electronic documents will be introduced.
