On January 20, US President Donald Trump said that the UN must continue its work and realize its potential.

"I am a big supporter of the potential of the UN, but it has not been able to realize this potential. <...> I believe that the United Nations should be allowed to continue its work, because its potential is truly enormous," Trump said during a briefing for reporters at the White House.

At the same time, he added that despite its potential, the UN has not helped the American leader in resolving a single conflict.
