US President Donald Trump has announced that he has invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to join the "Peace Council" on Gas, as he considers him one of the world leaders. He announced this on January 20, answering questions from journalists.

"He is one of the people, the world leaders. Yes," Trump said, confirming the invitation of the Russian president to the structure.

Commenting on reports of French President Emmanuel Macron's possible refusal to participate in the Peace Council, the American leader said that Macron was "not needed by anyone" in this format and, according to him, would soon complete his work as head of state.
