He explained that this is how the adaptation system prepares for a possible reaction. "If we start drinking coffee, strong tea or other stimulants, the brain receives conflicting signals: outside — uncertainty, inside — excitement. He doesn't understand what's going on and may slow down even more to figure it out. Since there is no obvious "opponent" to react to, braking affects all basic functions. As a result, we feel apathy, fatigue, drowsiness — it's natural," Kondrakhin told the Moscow City News agency.
