The program "Winters in Moscow" is presented until the end of February
As part of the Winter in Moscow project, theatrical performances and concerts, creative workshops and film screenings, excursions, lectures and quests are taking place in the capital until February 28. Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina spoke about the program of events.
"Venues in different districts of the capital invite you to relax with family and friends. For example, guests of VDNH will enjoy fabulous performances and sports activities, and at the Moscow Estates festival you can get acquainted with the historical heritage of the city," said Sergunina.
The program of the Moscow Manor Festival unfolded at 15 city venues. For example, the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve offers to join tea parties and see street theater performances, paint wooden toys as a symbol of the year, and take photos in historical costumes.
Immersive performances "The Mistress of the Copper Mountain" and "The Almanac of Russian Fairy Tales" will be shown in front of Pavilion No. 1 Central on January 31 and February 1, and "The Scarlet Flower" and "The Flying Ship" on February 14 and 15 at VDNH. The production and street performance on February 7 and 8 will be dedicated to the Day of Russian Science. Games, contests and discos are also held here on weekends until February 23.
More than 30 museum and exhibition grounds of the complex are invited for guided tours. Among them are the Museum of Heroism, the Slovo Museum of Slavic Writing, the Cosmonautics and Aviation center, Russia's first biocluster, and the Atom Museum.
Moscow parks are also preparing the program. It includes gastronomic and cultural festivals, concerts and workshops, film screenings and sports activities. There are skating rinks, ski trails and tubing slides in the parks. On February 28, the "Night at the Rink" campaign will be held on ice grounds in 20 parks. Curling facilities are also available in the Fili and Khodynskoye Polye parks.
Ice shows such as "Swan Lake", "Twelve Months" and "Snow White" are held at the Moscow Seasons venues in different parts of the city. The productions were prepared by Tatiana Navka, Peter Chernyshev and Evgeny Plushenko. Performances will run until the end of February.
