Work under the residential building renovation program in 2026 has started in Moscow.

Specialists of the municipal economy complex have begun planned major repairs of residential buildings as part of the program for 2026. This was announced on Tuesday, January 20, by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and landscaping, Peter Biryukov.

He noted that the Moscow overhaul program is one of the largest in the world: it includes about 30 thousand houses with a total area of over 300 million square meters. m. According to him, the list of works for each building is formed taking into account the service life of engineering systems and their actual condition, the Moscow City News agency reports.

Biryukov explained that in winter, work is carried out that does not depend on temperature and does not affect heating, such as repairs of electricity and gas supply, sewerage, fire automation, basements, garbage chutes and entrances. kp.ru .
