In 2025, 44.8 thousand new plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs) were sold in Russia, which is 9.5% more than a year earlier. This was reported on January 20 by the analytical agency Autostat.

According to experts, the growth in sales of hybrids was recorded against the background of a general decline in the market. At the same time, the share of hybrids in sales increased 2.6% to 3.4%. The main growth occurred in the fourth quarter, which analysts attribute to new recycling rates.

The best-selling PHEVs last year were Lixiang brand models (13.1 thousand units; -44% per year) and Voyah (9.4 thousand units; +8%), with these two brands accounting for half the market at once. The top five also included Geely (3.4 thousand units), Exeed/Exlantix (2.7 thousand units) and Lynk & Co (2.4 thousand units), which debuted in this segment.

The Voyah Free crossover became the bestseller among the models (7.7 thousand units), the top three were formed by the Lixiang L7 and L6 models (6.3 thousand and 4 thousand units, respectively).

The day before, it was reported that by the end of 2025, 12.5 thousand new passenger electric vehicles were registered in Russia, which is 30% less than in 2024, when 17.8 thousand such cars were sold.
