Sekulich was suspended from his duties as head coach of BC Zenit
Zenit St. Petersburg Basketball Club has decided to dismiss Alexander Sekulich from the post of head coach. This was announced on January 20 by the team's press service.
"By the decision of the Zenit BC Board of Directors, head coach Alexander Sekulich has been suspended from his duties," the club's website says.
It is noted that Maxim Uchaykin will temporarily serve as the head coach. He will lead the team in preparation for the match of the 22nd round of the VTB United League regular season against IBA-MAI. Sekulic has been in charge of Zenit since June 2025.
At the end of November last year, the CSKA Moscow basketball club defeated Zenit St. Petersburg in the VTB United League regular season match. The match in Moscow ended with a score of 93:88. CSKA's point guard Kasper Ware became the most productive player.
