A Ukrainian court has sentenced ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych to 15 years in prison in absentia for illegally seizing 17.5 hectares of land. This was announced on January 20 by the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) of Ukraine.

"The former president of Ukraine was sentenced to 15 years in prison. <...> The former president was found guilty of seizing a 17.5—hectare piece of forest land in the Sukholutsky village Council of the Kiev region," the Telegram channel said.
