Stubb invited Trump to sauna to resolve Greenland issues
On January 20, Finnish President Alexander Stubb proposed to US President Donald Trump a joint trip to the sauna to discuss what is happening around Greenland.
"Sometimes it's useful to slow down, go to the sauna, take a good bath, and then find a solution. If we could persuade President Trump to go to the sauna, I think we would have achieved something. From golf diplomacy to sauna diplomacy," he said in an interview with The Washington Post (WP).
Stubb also expressed hope that the "difficult situation" with Greenland will be resolved in Davos, adds "Газета.Ru ".
On January 20, following telephone conversations with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Trump announced a meeting on Greenland in Davos, Switzerland. He noted that he clearly expressed the importance of Greenland for the security of the United States and the whole world.
