Transbaikalians were warned about 50-degree frosts
Severe frosts are expected in the western regions of the Trans-Baikal Territory from January 21 to January 23. The air temperature will be -45 degrees and below.
According to the ChitaMedia news agency, with reference to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the region, rescuers advise to dress warmly, move actively in the cold and use the nearest premises, including shops and entrances, for heating. After returning from the cold, it is not recommended to drink tea or take a hot shower immediately, as this can put a serious strain on the heart and blood vessels. It is necessary that the body adapts to room temperature within 20-30 minutes.
Drivers should comply with traffic regulations and personal safety, check the serviceability of components and assemblies of the car. It is recommended to take a charged phone, fuel and warm clothes with you.
Earlier, on January 20, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, denied data on a sharp cooling to -36 degrees in the Central Federal District (CFD) this week. The first half of the week will be quite warm — the temperature will not drop below -14 degrees.
