The Russian Tenet crossover became a bestseller for the first time

For the first time, the Tenet T4 crossover became the bestseller in the SUV segment (crossovers and SUVs) on the Russian car market. This was reported on January 20 by the analytical agency Autostat.

Thus, according to the results of the third week of this year (from January 12 to January 18), 1,342 copies of the Tenet T4 were sold in Russia, which allowed the model to come out on top. The second was another model of the Russian brand, the T7 crossover (1,115 units).

The former leader, the Haval Jolion crossover, dropped to third place, with an indicator of 1,089 units last week.

Each of the other models in the segment sold less than 800 units in a week. The top ten was completed by Lada Niva Legend and Niva Travel SUVs, Mazda CX-5, Haval M6, Geely Monjaro, Belgee X50 and Jetour T1 crossovers.

The Tenet T4 has been produced at the facilities of the former Volkswagen plant in the Kaluga Region since last summer. In October, the model was included in the state program of preferential loans. By the end of the year, the Kaluga plant AGR Holding had produced the 50-thousandth crossover of the Russian brand Tenet.

The day before, it was reported that Mazda, whose cars are not officially supplied to Russia, entered the top ten in terms of sales in the Russian market. So, according to the results of the third week of 2026 (from January 12 to January 18), 538 new Mazda cars were sold in Russia. In the overall brand rating, it took the ninth position, ahead of the domestic brand Solaris (395 cars).
