Snow slides in Blagoveshchensk to be demolished for safety

In Blagoveshchensk, almost all snow slides are being dismantled. According to the results of the expert review, they were declared unsafe. This will happen in the middle of winter.

As PriamurMedia news agency clarifies with reference to the city administration, the structures are already being demolished on the embankment of the Zeya. In a couple of days, work will begin in Friendship Park, and then on Lenin Square.

In the capital of the Amur region, it was planned to build 10 snow slides in different areas. However, the auction winner skimped on materials and ignored technology. As a result, the structures were declared emergency. They never passed the Rostechnadzor inspection. No funds were allocated from the city budget for this, but the contractor will have to pay a fine.

In addition, according to Deputy Mayor Vitaly Rudnenko, the issue of including the contractor company in the register of unscrupulous contractors is being resolved. The relevant documents have been sent to the FAS.

The tubing and 6-meter ice slides on the central square of Blagoveshchensk will continue to work.

Earlier, rescuers recalled the safety rules on snow slides. Anatoly Plevako, First deputy head of the Moscow City Fire Department, explained that slides should be chosen for skiing, located away from trees, poles, fences, roadways and reservoirs. He also stressed that children should ride only under the constant supervision of adults.
