In the Amur region, communication with China will be closed for several days in February. This is due to the Spring Festival or Chinese New Year, which will be celebrated in China.

The schedule of checkpoints on the Chinese side during the holidays is published by the Office of Heilongjiang Province. So, from February 16 to February 19, the Heihe—Kani-Kurgan automobile checkpoint and the Heihe — Blagoveshchensk mixed checkpoint will be closed, PriamurMedia news agency notes with reference to the regional Ministry of Transport and Road Management.

On February 20, from 8:00 a.m. local time, international transportation between Russia and China will resume.

Carriers are advised to adjust their delivery schedules and travel routes in advance.

In early January, queues of buses were reported to have accumulated in front of the Chinese Manchuria border checkpoint. On January 5, the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Harbin explained that this was due to an increase in the flow of passengers. It was clarified that on January 4, more than 3,000 passengers passed through the checkpoint to enter China, and 2,716 passengers left. The diplomatic mission added that on January 5, the checkpoint was already operating normally.
