Fair Russia has offered to provide benefits to teachers and doctors
The Fair Russia Party has proposed a bill to introduce additional benefits for teachers and health workers. The corresponding proposal was sent to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin by the head of Just Russia, Sergei Mironov, together with his colleague from the faction, Yana Lantratova.
According to the bill, the measures are capable of equating teachers and doctors with civil servants on benefits.
"These are our initiatives to significantly increase the salaries and social status of teachers and health workers. In particular, we propose to equate them with civil servants in terms of benefits," Mironov told Izvestia.
It is planned to introduce the right to a one-time subsidy for the purchase of housing and the priority right to official housing, benefits for annual additional paid leave, medical and sanatorium-resort provision, mandatory state personal insurance. In addition, teachers and doctors should have benefits for an increased retirement pension, comparable to the pension provision of federal civil servants.
It is also proposed to introduce administrative and criminal liability for public insult, threat of violence or obstruction of the professional activities of teachers and health workers.
"The measures we are proposing are investments in Russia's sovereignty, security and future!" said Yana Lantratova.
Earlier, on December 24, 2025, it was reported that some public sector workers in Russia, including teachers, doctors and social workers, will receive salary indexation by 7.6%. Experts noted that this increase does not fully compensate for the price increase and does not eliminate the gap with salaries in the non-budgetary sector, especially in education, healthcare and culture.
