President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree on increasing labor pensions by an average of 10% from February 1. This was announced on January 19 by the press service of the head of state.

"The increase in labor pensions by an average of 10% will occur on February 1. This is stipulated by the decree signed by the president," the website says.

It is noted that the financing of pension increases will be provided at the expense of funds provided for the payment of pensions by the law "On the budget of the State Extra-budgetary Fund for Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Belarus for 2026." We are talking about an amount of more than 31 billion Belarusian rubles.

Alexey Govyrin, a State Duma deputy from United Russia, said yesterday that pensioners who continued to work officially in 2025 and for whom employers transferred insurance contributions to the Social Fund of the Russian Federation will be able to count on an increase in pensions from August. According to him, pension indexation will be carried out automatically. The amount of the increase will be calculated based on the receipts to the pension system for the previous year.
