57 cameras for fire monitoring to be purchased in Transbaikalia

In Transbaikalia, they plan to buy 57 video cameras included in the Lesohranitiel system. The equipment will be ordered by the regional Ministry of Forestry and Fire Safety, according to the official portal of the region.

The devices will allow for round-the-clock monitoring of possible fires in the west, northeast and south of the region.

Currently, 44 such cameras are located in the forests of Transbaikalia. They are able to automatically detect fires and transmit their coordinates to dispatchers. The video surveillance system operates at a distance of 30 to 50 km.

According to the ChitaMedia news agency, thanks to the "Forest Guard", it was possible to identify the arsonists and their car numbers in the Uletovsky and Petrovsk-Zabaikalsky districts. One of the attackers was fined 750 thousand rubles.

Earlier it was reported that fire-fighting gaps will be created in Transbaikalia from the forest to all settlements. This is necessary for effective forest fire control.
