The rules of flight of civilian drones were changed in Stavropol

Amendments to the flight regulations for civilian drones have entered into force in the Stavropol Territory. The corresponding order was signed by the regional Ministry of Energy, Industry and Communications.

The document is published on the portal of legal information, writes IA StavropolMedia. The amendments introduce changes to the work of the interdepartmental commission, which reviews requests from users of the airspace.

Drone owners must now obtain permission from local authorities to launch the devices over populated areas. This applies to cases where such a permit is mandatory according to federal regulations.

The innovations are aimed at bringing regional regulations in line with federal legislation and increasing control over the use of drones near residential areas.

In October 2025, it was reported that almost 60 regions of Russia would lift restrictions on the operation of large unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Now the registration procedures for such devices are very complicated, they can take several months.
