Russians were named the most popular countries for seaside holidays in February
At the end of winter, Russians will be vacationing in Thailand — 17.9% of tourists who planned a beach holiday in February have already booked hotels there. A hotel room is chosen there for 13.7 thousand rubles per day, and the average length of stay is 5.6 days. Analysts of the OneTwoTrip travel planning service told Izvestia about this on January 20.
"Vietnam came in second place with a share of 5.2%, where Russians will rest for about 6.4 days. Russians choose housing for 8 thousand rubles per day. The UAE took the third place: the country's share was 4.3%, they spend about 28.4 thousand rubles on hotels there and book them for an average of 4.3 days," the study said.
The top ten also includes several Asian destinations popular with Russians: Indonesia (1.6% share, average cost of accommodation — 11.5 thousand rubles per day, hotels are booked for 3.4 days), India (1.5%, 7.2 thousand rubles per day, 5.8 days), Philippines (1.4%; 5.6 thousand rubles, 4.0 Sri Lanka (0.8%; 9 thousand rubles, 2.9 days) and Maldives (0.7%; 35.5 thousand rubles, 4.2 days).
There were also quite unusual countries in the top ten (but also suitable for seaside holidays): 1% of hotel bookings are in Qatar, where Russians book accommodation for an average of 3.6 days for 19.5 thousand rubles per day. Australia is on the eighth line with a share of 0.9%. On a remote continent, tourists from the Russian Federation choose hotels for about 14.8 thousand rubles per day, planning to stay for 3.9 days.
Earlier, Izvestia wrote that in the winter of 2026, Russians will go on vacation to ski resorts in Sochi, Sheregesh, Kirovsk, Krasnoyarsk and Arkhyz. France, Italy, Georgia, Belarus and Kazakhstan are chosen among the foreign mountain routes.
